Golden Apple Pie

Ingredients:
- 2 large golden apples, peeled and sliced
- 100g of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 50g of butter, melted
- 200g of all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup of cold water
- 1 egg, beaten for egg wash

Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced golden apples with sugar and cinnamon, and let it sit for 10 minutes to release juices.
- In another bowl, mix flour and salt. Slowly add melted butter and cold water until a dough forms.
- Roll out half of the dough and line the pie dish with it, ensuring it covers the edges.
- Fill the pie shell with the apple mixture, mounding it slightly in the center.
- Roll out the remaining dough and cover the pie, sealing the edges. Cut small slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
- Brush the top crust with the beaten egg to give it a golden color when baked.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
