Authentic Indian Chai Tea

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of black tea leaves
  • 2 teaspoons of sugar
  • 2-3 green cardamom pods
  • 1 small piece of ginger (grated)
  • 1-2 cloves (optional)

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Kettle
  • Teapot
  • Measuring spoons
  • Strainer

Instructions:

  • Boil the water in a kettle.
  • Add the black tea leaves, sugar, cardamom pods, and grated ginger to the boiling water.
  • Let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes to extract the flavors.
  • Pour in the milk and bring the mixture back to a boil.
  • Allow it to boil for another 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat and strain the tea into a teapot or directly into a cup.
