Classic Tiramisu Delight

Ingredients:

  • 100g of mascarpone cheese
  • 50ml of strong brewed coffee (cooled)
  • 30g of sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 100g of ladyfinger biscuits
  • Cocoa powder for dusting
  • A splash of coffee liqueur (optional)

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk
  • Spatula
  • Serving dish

Instructions:

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg yolk and sugar until the mixture becomes pale and creamy.
  • Gently fold in the mascarpone cheese until smooth and well combined.
  • In another bowl, quickly dip the ladyfinger biscuits in the cooled coffee (and liqueur if using) for a second on each side.
  • Layer half of the soaked ladyfingers at the bottom of a serving dish.
  • Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers evenly.
  • Repeat the process with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture on top.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.
