Honey Garlic Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 500g of chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 4 cloves of garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons of water
  • 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Skillet
  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons
  • Bowl
  • Whisk

Instructions:

  • In a bowl, combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and sesame oil; whisk until well mixed.
  • Cut chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a bit of oil. Once hot, add the chicken pieces and cook until browned and cooked through, about 7-10 minutes.
  • Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, pour in the honey garlic mixture.
  • Bring the sauce to a simmer for 2-3 minutes, then mix cornstarch and water in a separate bowl and add to the skillet to thicken the sauce.
  • Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and stir well to coat in the sauce, simmering for an additional 2 minutes.
  • Serve garnished with chopped green onions.
