Slow Cooker Butter Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 500g of chicken breast
  • 200g of plain yogurt
  • 100g of butter
  • 2 tablespoons of curry powder
  • 1 tablespoon of ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon of garam masala
  • 2 cloves of garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger minced
  • 400g of canned tomatoes
  • 200ml of heavy cream
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Slow Cooker
  • Knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Measuring Cups
  • Wooden Spoon

Instructions:

  • Heat the slow cooker to low.
  • In a bowl, mix the yogurt, curry powder, ground cumin, garam masala, minced garlic, and ginger to create a marinade.
  • Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.
  • Add the chicken to the marinade and coat well, then let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
  • Transfer the chicken mixture into the slow cooker and add the canned tomatoes and butter.
  • Stir everything together to combine.
  • Cover and cook on low for 20-25 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through.
  • After cooking, stir in the heavy cream and let it cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
