Classic Cappuccino

Ingredients:

  • 18g of freshly ground espresso coffee
  • 150ml of water
  • 120ml of whole milk

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Espresso machine
  • Coffee grinder
  • Milk frother
  • Measuring cup
  • Coffee cup

Instructions:

  • Begin by heating the espresso machine and grinding the coffee beans to a fine consistency.
  • Tamp the ground coffee into the portafilter and attach it to the espresso machine.
  • Pull a shot of espresso using 18g of coffee and 150ml of water. Aim for a 30ml shot in about 25-30 seconds.
  • While the espresso is brewing, steam the whole milk using a milk frother until it reaches a velvety texture and creates microfoam.
  • Pour the espresso into a coffee cup, then gently add the steamed milk, holding back the foam with a spoon to create a layered effect.
  • Finally, spoon the milk foam on top of the espresso, finishing with a dusting of cocoa powder or cinnamon if desired.
