Philly Cheesesteak Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients:

  • 300g of ribeye steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 4 large lettuce leaves (preferably romaine)
  • 100g of provolone cheese, sliced

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • grill
  • knife
  • cutting board
  • skillet
  • spatula

Instructions:

  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Season the ribeye steak with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Add the steak to the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes until browned, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove the cooked steak from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and bell pepper, sautéing until they become soft and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Return the cooked steak to the skillet with the vegetables, mixing well.
  • Place the provolone cheese on top and cover the skillet with a lid, letting it melt for 2-3 minutes.
  • While the cheese is melting, wash and dry the lettuce leaves.
  • Once the cheese is melted, spoon the steak mixture onto the center of each lettuce leaf.
  • Wrap the lettuce around the filling and serve immediately.
