Spicy Baked Drumsticks with Herbed Rice

Ingredients:

  • 1kg of drumsticks
  • 200g of rice
  • 200ml of chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Oven
  • Microvawe Oven
  • Stove Top
  • Slow Cooker

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  • In a bowl, mix olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to create a marinade.
  • Coat the drumsticks thoroughly with the marinade and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake the drumsticks in the oven for 30-35 minutes or until they are golden brown and cooked through, turning halfway for even cooking.
  • While the drumsticks are baking, rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  • In a saucepan on the stove, combine the rinsed rice and chicken broth, and bring to a boil.
  • Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover and let it simmer for 18-20 minutes or until cooked and fluffy.
  • Fluff the rice with a fork and chop fresh parsley to mix in for flavor and garnish.
  • Once the drumsticks are ready, serve them alongside the herbed rice and garnish with parsley.
