Texas-Style Beef Brisket

Ingredients:

  • 1kg of beef brisket
  • 2 tablespoons of Texas-style rub
  • 100ml of apple cider vinegar
  • 100ml of beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons of garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons of onion powder

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • smoker
  • meat thermometer
  • sharp knife
  • cutting board
  • aluminum foil

Instructions:

  • Preheat your smoker to 120°C (250°F).
  • Rub the brisket with olive oil and then apply the Texas-style rub evenly over the meat.
  • Place the brisket in the smoker and cook for about 4 to 5 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 90°C (195°F).
  • Every hour, spritz the brisket with a mixture of apple cider vinegar and beef broth to keep it moist.
  • Once cooked, remove the brisket and wrap it tightly in aluminum foil. Let it rest for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
  • After resting, slice the brisket against the grain using a sharp knife and serve with your favorite sides.
