Wisconsin Butter Burgers

Ingredients:
- 400g of ground beef (preferably 80/20 mix)
- 50g of unsalted butter
- 2 slices of aged cheddar cheese
- 2 burger buns
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lettuce leaves for topping
- Sliced tomatoes for topping
Kitchen Tools Needed:
- Stove
- Grill
- Mixing Bowl
- Spatula
- Meat Thermometer
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently and divide the mixture into two equal patties.
- Heat the grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on one side before flipping them over.
- As soon as you flip the patties, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes or until the desired doneness is reached.
- During the last minute of cooking, cut the unsalted butter into small cubes and place one cube on top of each patty to melt.
- Toast the burger buns on the grill or skillet until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by placing lettuce and a slice of tomato on the bottom bun, followed by the cheese-covered patty, and finally adding the top bun.
