Ingredients:

  • 400g of ground beef (preferably 80/20 mix)
  • 50g of unsalted butter
  • 2 slices of aged cheddar cheese
  • 2 burger buns
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lettuce leaves for topping
  • Sliced tomatoes for topping

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Stove

Instructions:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently and divide the mixture into two equal patties.
  • Heat the grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on one side before flipping them over.
  • As soon as you flip the patties, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes or until the desired doneness is reached.
  • During the last minute of cooking, cut the unsalted butter into small cubes and place one cube on top of each patty to melt.
  • Toast the burger buns on the grill or skillet until golden brown.
  • Assemble the burgers by placing lettuce and a slice of tomato on the bottom bun, followed by the cheese-covered patty, and finally adding the top bun.
